Elevate!

It’s a true saying that not everyone who is with you now can go with you where you are going.

It does not mean that you do not love them, and it certainly doesn’t mean that you think you are any better than they are. But what it does mean is that you clearly hear the voice of God calling you higher.

You have shared inspiration, offered motivation, encouraged them through God’s Word, and tried to help them realize their value and worth. You have been a listening ear and provided sound mentorship, but as seasons do, seasons change. It’s time to allow them the opportunity to stand and embark on their own journey, crutch-free, and it’s time for you to soar to the higher heights of your divine calling.

When God called Abram to leave his country, family, and father’s household, to go to a land that God would show him, it had to be scary. It’s not always easy to leave familiar surroundings or people you have known for a long time. Sometimes even though situations and circumstances may not be ideal, because they are comfortable, we stay. But staying runs the risk of sabotaging your own growth. It’s better to obey God.

In your spirit, there is an undeniable yearning for more. Like a soon to be butterfly enclosed in a chrysalis, there is an urging to spread your wings. You are no longer satisfied where you are. You have outgrown the box that has limited you. You realize that the dreams upon your pillow are not mere dreams but visions. Not only can you see your potential but there is a keen awareness of your Purpose.

It's time to pack your bags and leave behind the familiarity of your past but be sure to pack light! For this journey you won’t need to pack a heavy bag, some things must be left behind. Be careful not to pack doubt, fear, and low self-esteem. They have not served you well, plus you want to leave plenty of room for faith, God’s Word, confidence, creativity, an open mind and new connections.

It's time to emerge from the shadows. God is announcing your name. He is calling you from the crowd and bidding you to come. Like Peter, dare to walk on water! Sis, get your feet wet! It’s time for your gift to blossom and flourish. You have prayed for this moment, hoped for this moment, and imagined how this moment would feel for so long. Now it’s time to live this moment, embrace this moment, and walk into your Purpose!

Now don’t fool yourself. Not everyone will understand or embrace the new you. Not everyone is meant to walk this leg of the journey with you. Although there will be times when you feel most alone, know that you are not alone because God promised to send Grace and Mercy to walk alongside of you. Grace and Mercy will shield you from the nay-sayers and those who have become embittered because they allowed themselves to stay stuck in an undesirable place. Grace and Mercy will encourage you to fly free and share the beauty of your wings created by God Himself. My Sister, nothing is stopping you. It’s your time. It’s your season.
